Show Us Your Life - Favorite Vacation Spot - ITALY

This week Show Us Your Life is Favorite Vacation Spots at Kelly's Korner.
I knew immediately it has to be

I thought about trying to choose just one spot in Italy but that was much too hard! If you were ever to vacation in Italy you would not visit just one city, so i felt it only appropriate to discuss my favorites about Italy!

I will start with Venice, completely romantic!

Of course you have to ride in a Gondola.

And you must feed the Birds! (I was completely terrified but it was so fun!)

If you are on a budget considered staying across the water way at Jesolo. It is a super cool town with this view!

There is a restaurant in the Ute Hotel that is worth checking out. They have the best four cheese pasta!

For some Serious History you will want to drop in at Rome.

My favorite spot in Rome is the Trevi Fountain! It is an incredible display of art work that is simply facilitating!

While you are in Rome, you might as well visit the Vatican. No matter how LONG the line is to get into the City Walls....

it is totally worth the wait!! The Vatican, St. Peter's Basilica, and the Sistine Chapel are sure to please! I was completely over whelmed and fascinated by the art and history that is stored in these buildings.

Now that you have been through the Sistine Chapel and are wanting a little more Religious history, then you will want to head over to Florence to visit the most amazing and famous Cathedral.

While we were there they were in the process of cleaning the building. On the right you can see the clean area and the left is still dirty.
You would also want to drop by the Piazza Delle Signoria Air Museum and Market. There are some incredible statues and some vendors selling almost anything.

One Last popular place that you will not want to miss is Pisa! Just spare one day to check out this Marvel.

It doesn't matter how scared of heights you might be, you have to go to the top.

Now for 2 places you might not have heard of.
Sienna, one of my favorites!

This is in the horse track located in the middle of the city. The next time I am in Italy I will make sure I am in Sienna for a race.

Cinque Terre "Five Cities"

Breath-taking isn't it! Cinque Terre was absolutely gorgeous!
The Cities where so colorful!

A few tips about eating in Italy is knowing that the Pizza is completely different, the Gelato is to die for and most of the water served at restaurants is sparkling water (you have to tell them you mineral water if you want non-carbonated water).
If you are brave then take a vacation in Italy without a tour group and drive in Rome (seriously out of control!)
We loved out 3 weeks in Italy and every time we consider going out of the USA, we think of Italy first!

I hope you have enjoyed your tour of Italy!
