When Taylor was born, it was love at first sight! She captured our hearts instantly and we love her more and more every day! She is the absolute definition of Life! Her smile, laugh and enthusiasm is infectious and she is so much fun to be with! This year has been a big year for her b/c she has been potty trained and she became a big sister...really a little mommy! She is amazing with her little brother!
Taylor is also a major Daddy's girl! Every morning we wake up to the sound of her sweet voice over the monitor saying "I want my Daddy". How can he resist!
Every day is an adventure and we can't wait to see what will come this next year!

Taylor, Mommy, Daddy and Mac love you very much! Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to the best Mom in the world!

Day 3 of 3...Final Day

So this morning was interesting! Mac woke me up at exactly 5:00am...good thing too! I forgot to set my alarm! It could have been bad! I got him fed and ready for school and then started on myself. Taylor got up around 6, so I got her ready. I finished myself and loaded the car and was by 6:40. The kids were to school by 7:15 and me to work by 7:45!!!

We are looking forward to having Morris home tonight. I have already promised Taylor that her daddy would come see her when he gets in. (she will be asleep so he will need to go wake her up)

Thanks Mom for all your help and company!

Day 2 of 3

Well, Last night was good. Mom stayed over until about 9, which was nice. After she left I went straight to bed. I had to get up a few times to check on Mac and Taylor called once. I was up at 4:00 to feed Mac...that only lasts for about 10 minutes and I was back asleep. At 4:45 I hear "I want my daddy" over the monitor in the most pitiful voice! I go in there and Taylor was just missing her Daddy. I decided to just stay up at this point. I started my routine and had myself ready, the car packed, breakfast ready, and clothes picked out for the kids by 6:00. I had to wake Taylor up to get her ready. She sat next to me on the bed while I got Mac dressed and fed for school. We were in the car headed down the street by 6:45! I was pumped! I got them both dropped off by 7:20 and the school traffic was a little better today so I made it to work by 7:55! Once again the hardest part of the day is over.

I miss Morris real bad! So does Taylor!

While I was doing laundry, cleaning dishes, making dinner and getting kids in bed, Morris was looking at this from his hotel room! So NOT fair!

Sorry for the picture quality...it is from his cell phone.

Day 1 of 3

Morris has told me since we had Taylor that I am Super Mom. (only b/c I deal with the sleep depravity better than he does) Well today begins his test of my Super Mom skills. Morris got up at 4:00am this morning and left at 4:30 for a 3 day business trip to Vegas. I too was awake at 4, nursing at 4:15 and in the shower by 4:45. (I decided to stay up b/c I was nervous about getting to work by 8) I managed to leave the house, still forgetting my lunch, by 6:45, got the kids to school by 7:20 and I made it to work by 8:00!! All in All not too bad. I have 3 grocery trips to make today, one at lunch and the other 2 after work. I have survived the hardest part of the day so I think I am going to be OK.
See you tomorrow for Day 2!

Happy Birthday Morris!!

Morris turned 27 on 11/4/10! Unfortunately we both had to work but we were able to have dinner alone. Mom came over and watched the kids for a few hours while we went to Kobe's for a birthday dinner. When we got home we had cake and ice cream! Taylor was so excited about her Daddy's birthday! As soon as she woke up she told him happy birthday...I think that made his day!
On Saturday We went to my Mom's to celebrate with my parents.

I hope you had a wonderful birthday Babe! We Love You!

Mac at 2 Months

I cannot believe that Mac is already 2 months old! He has changed so much!
At his 6-8week appt he was 12lb 7oz (70%), 23 inches long (50%) and his head was 16 inches around (63%). He got 4 shots and did really well. Daddy was able to sooth him pretty quickly! Thankfully, He started sleeping through the night at 7 weeks. He was sleeping from 10:30 to 6, but now he is doing 8:30 to 5:30. In addition to being a good sleeper, he is a good eater too! He eats 4-5oz every 2-3 hours. His 0-3 month clothing has gotten snug and almost too short so we have started putting him in 3-6 month clothes.
His favorite place to be is in someones arms. He is a total cuddle bug! If he is not being held he really likes the swing and does pretty good in the bouncy seat. He rarely cries and has the cutest smile! He has already started watching Taylor and smiling when she is being silly. She eats up that attention from him.

Here are some pictures from his second month:

Several Things....

I guess I will start with the most recent and work my way back. Today is back to the grind. I made it to work by 8:06! Not bad considering I straightened my hair! I got in some good cuddle time with Mac before he left with Morris for school. I am doing my best to keep the tears at bay today. However, Yesterday I didn't even try to stop them. Morris took the day off to spend with me and help me through the day. We dropped both kids off at school at 8 in the morning. Taylor first then Mac. I took him to his room, got him out and loved on him, then Morris loved on him and handed him to Ms. Alecia. I turned and stepped out of his room, headed to leave, and started to cry. By the time I got to the car I was completely tore up!  Morris let me just sit in the car and cry for a few minutes. When I was calm enough to leave we drove off. Tears came several other times through out the day but I was so glad to be with him all day. We went to the range and to the outlets in Leeds. After we picked up the Kids from school we all went to the park! Taylor had a great time and it was fun to watch her and her daddy chase each other all over the place! It will be really cool with Mac can play with them. Taylor asked several times if he could swing next to her or go down the slide with her. She can't wait to play with him.

I also have a few things to check off my list.
#1: I successfully only paid for lunch 2 times a week at work during the month of August. Yeah! Now I am going to try to do the same this month (November) since the holidays are coming.

#51: We took an entire truck load of stuff to the Thrift Store to donate yesterday! It is great to see all of that stuff go and have our garage back!

#73: Morris and I went to the Shooting range yesterday. I got the chance to finally shoot our 9M pistol. The first Clip I did this....(just he bullseye hole is mine)

The Second Clip I did this...(all of the holes on the black target are mine)

Can you tell I got much better!?

#88: I enjoyed my 6 weeks Maternity Leave so much that I stayed out 8 weeks! I really enjoyed the time at home with Mac. I was able to completely let go of work and just have fun! Mac and I just did what ever we wanted to do. We went shopping, took pictures, blogged, watched TV, etc. Our favorite thing to do was to meet Daddy and others for lunch! We did that a lot! I am so grateful to have a job that I could take so much time off and not be stressed about it. God really has blessed our family!

So that is all I have to mark off right now. More to come soon I am sure!
