Random Acts of Kindness

Today I decided to venture out of the house with our little man and go eat lunch with Morris. I picked him up at his office and he decided he wanted to go to the Egg & I. He had been before but I had not. When we got there we sat at a booth that had this table next to it:

At this table was a middle aged couple who quickly took an interest in our 3 week old Morris. We chatted it up with them for 5 or 6 minutes. They were very sweet! About 10 minutes after they left their table our waiter came over and said "The only thing that can make this food better is Random Acts of Kindness". Morris and I were really confused on where he was going with this statement and then he hit us with it...
He told us that the couple who had been sitting next too us, Picked up our check!
Morris and I were shocked! We both just became very over whelmed with emotion! We know what it is like to be in their shoes, this is the first time we have been on the other end of it!
We don't know their names and will probably never see them again, but one thing is certain....We will NEVER forget them!

Just 4 days old!

On 9/7/10 we took Morris to Janet's house to have his 4 day pictures taken.  We did this with Taylor and wanted to have it done with him too. I am so pleased with them!! Here are a few of them...

1 week Dr. Check Up

Morris was born 9/3/10 at 7lb 12oz and 20.75 inches long. He was discharged from the Hospital on 9/6/10 at 7lb 6oz. We went for his 1 week check up today and found out our baby boy is growing fast! He now weighs 8lb 12.5oz and is 21 inches long. Dr. P said he looked great!

Morris did really well during the whole appointment and really enjoyed just chilling on the exam table.

We go back between 6 and 8 weeks.

#6, #12, #59, #68 Check

Starting September 2010 Morris and I have officially gotten back on the Envelope system (#59 on my list). We did this for over a year before and it really made it easier to stay on budget at restaurants and walmart. With another baby on the way we felt like it would be a good idea for us to get back on this system and really buckle down especially since several budget areas are going to increase.

Also, we have finally finished the Nursery (#12 on my list)! I am so pleased with how it turned out and proud of us for doing most of it ourselves. We painted the ceiling, hung the clouds, ceiling fan, and planes, made the bedding and extended the curtains so they would be long enough.

#68 was to join/start a Lifewalk Group. We recently joined a new group that just started on the 280 side of town. We are really excited about it b/c everyone has kids and we can't wait to get to know the other couples! Our good friends Paul and Julie are in the group as well however we do not know the other 5 couples very well. It will be a great thing for the kids!

Lastly but most importantly!...
#6..Give birth to Morris Naturally! To see all the details and pictures of this event go to http://ourstork.blogspot.com/2010/09/final-chapter-in-this-jouney.html.

#27, #46, #79 and #85

I feel like I have been checking off a lot of stuff lately! It is a great feeling! Today I am checking off #27, 46, 79 and 85!!!

#27 was to start Taylor in ballet/dance/gymnastics (or all 3). She will start Tap and Ballet class at her school September 9th. It is a 1 time a week class for 45 minutes. I am really excited to have her start b/c it will help with her coordination and less face it....she is a bit clumsy! I hope to post Dance outfit pictures soon!

#46 was to watch Morris be in John Mark's wedding in Valdosta GA. This is the first item that I honestly was concerned about being able to do. Despite being 2cm dilated we were still able to go and Morris looked awesome in his tux. The wedding was very pretty and we had a great time with friends!

#79 was to frame our diplomas. I have been planning this for a while and had the money set aside but I struggled to find the right ones. I finally found ones that would look great with Morris' other office pictures and I liked the price on them. Morris hung his in his office and I put mine in my cube at work! I am excited to have them framed! Seems like we spent lots of time and money for that piece of paper, it deserves to be behind glass.
Lastly for this post and probably most importantly #85!!! I was promoted at work! I am no longer a Staff Auditor, I am now an Advanced Auditor! I am so grateful b/c this is a HUGE answered prayer! Morris and I are elated especially since the Promotion goes into affect before I go on Maternity Leave! To celebrate Morris took me to dinner at Shogun! We were able to enjoy a quite meal just the 2 of us! God's Timing is Always Perfect!
