Home Sweet Home!!!

They say Home is where the Heart is, Well my heart was clearly in my body when I was in Atlanta but my home is here! LOL! I am so glad to be home. I missed Morris and Taylor so much! Being gone for 4 days and 3 nights was rough! Taylor's face when I went to pick her up from school yesterday was priceless! I think Daddy was pretty happy to have me home too!

On another note, The Audit went good. I had a good time with my coworker and learned so much from her. It was a good growing experience for me.

GLAD TO BE HOME!!!

Two Steps Forward One Step Back

Ok so it has been a week or so since I posted last and it seems like so much has happened.

Well, some of the more exciting news for us is that we finally have some furniture in our house! My parents bought a used dining room suite, so naturally Morris and I inherited their old set. The set includes a table, six chairs, a buffet server and a china cabinet. It has been in our family for many years and it has that antique feel about it. I think it looks nice in our dinning room and it will be fun when we can get our china in there.

Also, we finally replaced our bed! We have been talking about doing if for over a year now but never did. We saved up the money and got a great deal! We upgraded from a queen to a king, which is real nice! We have slept on it for a few nights now and love it! About 4 years ago I found a bedding set that I really liked so I started stalking it on Ebay. I was able to get the whole thing for a killer deal, but I planned ahead and got the King set. Also, my wonderful Aunt Susie and cousin Stacey bought us the King sized down comfortor for our wedding 3 and half years ago. So we are finally able to use it. Now I would like to have Curtains made to match. One of these days =)

On a sad note I would like to say farewell to Dan Baxter. Thank you Dan for the impact you made on Morris and I! Not only did you Influence us greatly in our Financial life but you helped bring us so much closer to God! We love you greatly and will miss you so much! Your family is in our hearts and prayers!
I can only imagine, What it will be like, When I walk By your side,
I can only imagine, What my eyes will see, When your face Is before me
I can only imagine I can only imagine
Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine I can only imagine
I can only imagine When that day comes And I find myself Standing in the Son
I can only imagine When all I will do Is forever Forever worship You
I can only imagine I can only imagine I can only imagine
When all I will do Is forever, forever worship youI can only imagine

No More Tubes!

This morning Taylor started messing with her right ear...tugging on it and crying about it. I gave her motrin and we got her to the dr at 7:45. Our Dr was out so we saw Dr. Stone....very nice man. He looked into the Left ear and said there was too much wax to see her drum...so he cleaned it out. In the processes of cleaning he found the loose tube and pulled it out. He said her Left ear looked great. Then he looked at the right side and did the same thing. The right ear looked great. No ear infection!!! He also mentioned that she might be getting her back molars...explains why she cried when I tried to brush her back teeth! Glad to know she is most likely just teething! She is such a Drama Queen! LOL!

By the way....we kept the tubes! =)

PooPoo in the Potty!!!

Last night Taylor actually told me she needed to go PooPoo and she wanted to go in the Potty! So we put her on the potty and She actually did it! I can officially say we don't have any attachment issues b/c she was all about telling it Bye Bye as it went down!! LOL!!!

Surprise!

Most of you know that Tuesday night is Daddy Night for Taylor and Morris. Well I came home around 8:30 and Morris says "Taylor went tee tee in the Potty!" What???? At first I thought I heard him wrong! But I didn't. He was in the middle of giving her a bath when she showed signs that she might be trying to go Poo poo. So, Morris asked if she needed to go Poo poo and she shook her head yes. So he put her on the potty. She sat for a minute and Morris asked "Do you need to go potty?" She said yes. So he waited. All of a sudden she went tee tee in the potty and wanted back in the Tub!!! LOL!!

Sadly b/c Mommy was not around there are no pictures of this HUGE event! Not even one of the Tee tee in the toilet! Bummer! LOL!!!

Weekend Update

This past weekend was slam packed with New things! Saturday we took Taylor to her first family reunion! I think she had a really good time. There were lots of men there that wanted her attention and were willing to do anything to get it. She had them taking her outside in 90 degree weather to slide, wondering around the house looking for the kitty and she even had one special friend letting her feed him. It was precious! I have some really great pictures to upload but I will have to do that when I have more time!
Sunday was exciting too! Morris decided he was ready to give the day bed a try! So after her nap we took the front of Taylor's bed off and put up the day bed rail! So now she has a BIG GIRL bed And I must say she LOVES IT! She has done very well with it too! The day bed version makes changing the sheets much easier for me! I have pictures of this to come as well.

I hope everyone elses weekend was as fun as ours!
Until next time!

THUMPER

Sunday was filled with some roller coasters! I was watering our indoor plants when Morris ran to the front door yelling "there is an injured bunny!" I ran to the side of our house and there on the ground about 3 inches from our house was a baby bunny...just laying there. He wasn't very responsive and it was apparent that he had been left by his mama. Morris scooped him up and put him in a towel lined box. We got a small medicine syringe and gave the little guy some water. He took about 3 syringes. After that things were looking good! He perked up and started moving around the box. We got him some timothy hay to eat on but he didn't seem interested in it. We proceeded to eat dinner and periodically give him water. While playing cards we heard him scratching the box....so we went over and he was layed on his side again not responding. We gave him more water and he moved himself back to a normal bunny position. We then put him in the dining room b/c a friend told me to keep him in a dark place until we could get him help. We went in to check on him at about 9 and what we found was not good. It was apparent that the little guy had gone into shock! He was layed out and stiff. He was breathing and taking water but would occasionally gasp for air. It was very sad! We went on to bed hoping that he would make it through the night. I checked on him at 11:34 and his condition had not changed. However at 5:30 this morning he had passed! It was very sad. I have pictures of him when he was perky but decided not to post them...he was so stinken cute! He was only about 3 or 4 inches big.
I have more postings from yesterday coming...so keep looking!

Water Day

Taylor's daycare had Water Day last Thursday (July 2nd). We took her dress in her little bathing suit and coverup....she looked adorable! The teachers were kind enough to take pictures and e-mail them to Morris. It appears that other than her feet she didn't get wet at all! Not surprising! The teachers said she would get just close enough to feel the mist from the sprinkler!

OOHH NOOO!!!

Morris and I were trying to accomplish a few things around the house this morning. I was doing laundry and changing sheets and Morris was setting up the total gym. Taylor started out with me in her room and I guess got bored b/c she left and went to daddy....so I thought. About 5 mintues later I hear "OOHH NOOOO TAYLOR NOOO!" I ran to the foyer to find this:

Just because they are talking does not mean they are being good...it just means they are making mud pie!!!

Until the next adventure!

Taylor 18 Month Check Up

Today we took Taylor to see Dr. Petelos for her 18 month check-up....yes she is 19 months...but she has been about a month behind from the beginning due to the abundance of ear infections she had when she was little. Anyway... Taylor cracked me up! As soon as the nurse came in to weigh her she lost it crying! It was so funny....she cried while she was being weighed and being measured. She weighs 23 lb. 10.5 oz, 32.25 inches long and her head is 18.75 inches. Her head is starting to even out with the rest of her body.
As far as her development is going he was VERY IMPRESSED!! That is Davis! LOL just kidding! He was very excited about the amount of words she uses, body parts she names, and Blocks she can stack. He didn't' believe us at first that she could stack 7 blocks already!
Overall it was a very exciting trip!

18 Month Picture Shoot

OK so Thursday was like the hottest day so far! It was 95 degrees but felt like 99! We met Janet and Katelyn at Botanical Gardens for Taylor's 18 month picture shoot! I think the minute I stepped out of the car I was drenched! Taylor was extremely clinging for the first 10 or 15 mintues which just enhanced the hot factor even more! Finally we found a water fountain and the gloves came off and Taylor was ready to go! We walked all over the gardens for about an hour and Janet took over 500 pictures! So, when the memory card was full, the hair was pulled back, the shirt was soaked, and the Coke bottles were empty, we gave it up. I know she got some great shots and I just can't wait to see them!

We have Arrived!

I think this is probably the most exciting past time that Morris will ever have with his baby girl!
I walked in Thursday afternoon to the sound of sweet laughter and tiny clapping coming from the kitchen. I got there as soon as I could, to find Morris at the stand mixer and Taylor sitting on the counter. They were making chocolate chip cookies! It was the cutest thing I had ever seen. I quickly grabbed the camera and took some pictures...I just wish I had been able to get it video taped!
Enjoy...

SLOW DOWN!!!

Ok so things have just been crazy and a total world wind! It has been too long since I posted...so here is an update.

I just completed my 3rd week on my new job at Cahaba GBA. For those of you who don't really know what I am doing now, here it is: I am an auditor for Cahaba GBA and we audit Medicare Cost Reports. Hope that clears things up. LOL! I am really excited to be there and I love it!
Morris and I bought a new car 3 weeks ago...a Nissan Rogue. We love it!
Taylor is over 17 months old and is really starting to communicate! She babbles all the time now and is learning to use the word NO very well. Don't get me wrong...she is a very good little girl! I just can't believe how fast she is growing up. She is a total blast!
Here are some recent pictures:
